Meet Dr. Rath
Dr Sandra Rath graduated with her BS in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 2013 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2017. After practicing in the North Dallas area for 3 years, Dr Rath and her husband moved to central Texas.
In 2022, Dr. Rath began studying Veterinary Acupuncture at the Chi University in Florida. She is now completing the last steps to obtain her Certificate of Veterinary Acupuncture. Serene Veterinary Services was founded to provide acupuncture services to patients in north Houston.
Dr. Rath’s previous dog, a Great Dane named Gus, was one of Dr Rath’s motivations to pursue Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Gus had an auto-immune condition that could not be diagnosed through Western Medicine. Gus’s condition went in to remission for 2 years, and his quality of life greatly improved when he received Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine treatments.
In her time off, Dr Rath loves to spend time with her husband, their side-of-the-road mutt, Keltie; and two young cats, Jameson and Murphy. When not spending time with her family and friends, Dr Rath loves to read, hike, play board games, and practice yoga.
